Living by the mantra that “growing old is mandatory but growing up is optional”, Jody Smail a native New Zealander, arrived in Perth, Western Australia in 2004 by way of London. She is an adventurer at heart, with a passion for travel, watersports and outdoor living.

Happiest on the beach she loves sand, sea and surf; hanging out with her kids; building sandcastles and picnicking with friends and family. Hours spent at Cottesloe and the surrounding beaches made her aware that she had nothing to wear that translated easily and stylishly from beach to shopping and to dinner. One thought led to another ……. and with the help of friend / graphic designer Carol Filen Cubapink Boardskirts were born.

Simple wrap skirt made from velvet microfibre in bold designs and cool colours, Cubapink’s collections combines practicality with feminine style and flair- and a touch of grown up surfer cool. With two lengths and four sizes there is one to suit almost everyone.

Cubapink is a beachwear apparel company based in Perth, Western Australia. It is our aim to provide feminine and stylish skirts and dresses for the beach and beyond. We decided to move away from traditional beachwear apparel and design a collection that was elegant yet practical and had the ability to make women feel admired, fashionable and confident, whatever size, age or shape. Suitable for young girls, expectant mothers, new mothers, and us vintage surf chic’s at heart.

Our garments are made from polyester microfibre, quite simply boardshort material, so non-crease, wipe clean, with easy care instructions. You will find a variety of graphics and colours which are easy to mix and match with bikinis or swimsuits. Alternatively, throw on a t-shirt, some sandals and off you go to the beach club, poolside, or wherever your desire.

Cubapink is proudly designed and manufactured in Australia, the home of sand, sea and surf.

So come on, the beach is waiting……….
