Catch her if you can - glamorous cat burglars steal the scene at Liza Emanuele this summer.
For this Adelaide born designer, there was always only one simple motto “When you look good, you feel good – Simple!”
At the age of 19, Liza Emanuele decided to turn her fashion design dreams into reality and moved to Milan to study at the prestigious Instituto Marangoni. On her return home to Adelaide, she secured a job as the assistant to prominent design duo George Gross and Harry Who, who became her design mentors.
In August 2001, Liza launched her label IT GIRL, which was described as flirty, feminine and sensual, celebrating fashion with her unique and sexy trademark style.
The IT GIRL
Liza loves dressing her It Girl with personality and energy. Her label is coveted by young and fun international celebrities such as Delta Goodrem, Sophie Monk, Isabel Lucas, Holly Brisley and Evangeline Lilly, of Lost fame.

In 2006 Liza was one of seven Australian designers invited to showcase her work at Australia Weeks "G-Day LA" with guests including Teri Hatcher, Dita Von Tesse and Daryl Hannah. From there Liza launched her signature collection at Austrade's annual 'Australian Style' fashion event at Australia House in London.
Sexy scene stealers.
Liza unveiled her Spring Summer 2007/08 Collection ‘Catch Her If You Can’ at the Rosemount Australian Fashion Week in Sydney last month. The collection was essentially created for those “special occasions” - such as a day at the races or evening cocktails. But according to Liza, most the pieces can also be worked into any office wardrobe.
"I believe my clothes are full of personality and have a true glamour injection that my customer loves," says Liza. "I like to combine sharp styling with ultra feminine fabrics at a realistic price point."
The Must-Sees'
Liza banks on the gold lurex wrap dress being the hit of the summer season. She also loves the summer trench dress – “sophisticated and cool!”
We adore the feminine touches such as ruffles and pleating, in luxurious fabrics of silks and satins make these separates and dresses truly unique. The palette of black, white and neutrals can work into any wardrobe and injections of spring colour into the range such as hot pinks and greens ensure the her designs stand out in a crowd.

Other Information
The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra has a stylish new look.
Liza was asked to design the range of concert dress attire for the orchestra’s female musicians. And the result has really hit a high note. With colours being black and white, they have the formality of the tuxedo look, but Liza's contemporary and stylish designs.
There are nine pieces in the collection. They include a fulllength jersey skirt; a tuxedo shirt with V-neck, a knit sleeve and diamante buttons; wide-legged pants with a high-waist and reversible satin belt; a tunic top; a cowl-neck top and full-length flowing dresses.
Fabrics like polished cotton, silk/satin and velvet were mixed with stretch suiting fabric for ease of movement. The outfits, all made in Adelaide, extend across all dress codes, from formal to smart casual. Sunday Mail's fashion expert Mirella Romano clamied 'This is a perfect example of how wearing a uniform doesn’t mean leaving your personal style behind'.
